Did you even know you could roast radishes? I did not but then I was like “let’s try this”
You guys. I actually don’t love plain radishes (too peppery) but they are SO GOOD roasted.
The flavor is more mild and they have this wonderfully crispy texture that is gonna blow your mind that you like veggies this much.
Move over favorite roasted delicata squash or my go-to oven roasted kabocha squash because radishes are in the house.
Why you will LOVE This Recipe
Roasting foods is my absolute JAM because I just love that slow cooked, perfect flavor that goes hand in hand with roasting! Some of my FAV side dish recipes here on the blog are cumin roasted carrots and tahini maple roasted sweet potatoes. I even roasted some peaches for my buckwheat pancakes to make them EXTRA delish and it totally worked! The recipe I have for you today is simply the BEST for roasted radishes. If you think roasting radishes sounds strange, think again because they are going to blow your mind and your tastebuds! Roasted radishes are SUPER healthy, and roasting them causes the flavor to be more mild than they are raw which I really like about them. They also have that crispness that you’re looking for when you roast veggies, making them the PERFECT side dish to serve at your next get together!

Like many of my roasted veggie recipes, you won’t need many ingredients to make this one either! Here’s what you’ll need to pull together before we get roasting:
- 1 Bunch radishes, with the greens and bottoms removed
- Olive Oil
- Fresh Garlic, minced
- Salt and Pepper
How to make Roasted Radishes Recipe
Roasting up a pan of these radishes is super easy, as your hot oven will do most of the work for you! Here’s how to make them:
Prepare
Fire up your oven so that it can heat up while you work in the kitchen. Slice your radishes so that they are similar in size and will cook evenly. Some you can cut in halves, and for larger radishes, you can third them.
Toss
Add the sliced radishes to a large bowl along with the oil and garlic. Toss them until each slice is well coated.
Bake
Spread the radishes evenly onto a large baking sheet. Sprinkle them with salt and pepper. Place them in the oven and cook until the radishes are tender-crisp, stopping once during the cook time halfway to stir them around a bit.
Serve
Serve up your roasted radishes and DEVOUR!
How to use Roasted Radishes
This roasted radishes recipe is fantastic because they are so versatile! If you have a favorite green salad, level it up a bit by adding some roasted radishes to finish it off. They would also be tasty stirred into your favorite cold or warm grain bowl. They have the ability to add color and unique flavor to so many meals and snacks.
Serving Suggestions
There are so many ways to enjoy these tasty radishes. You could roast up a batch of these and just snack on them on their own if you’d like, or add them to a salad or bowl like I said above. Another great idea would be to serve them alongside a main course to make it a meal. They would be delicious with a juicy coffee rubbed steak or some air fryer pork tenderloin. Add a big green salad to your plate and you’ve got a tasty meal that the whole family will enjoy!
