What makes These Wings SO Good

If you’re new to the blog, you need to know one very important fact about me: I am a little (okay, a LOT) obsessed with my air fryer. I’m always cooking up goodies in it, from simple recipes like air fryer chicken breast all the way to full meals like air fryer stuffed peppers. It’s never steered me wrong, so today I’m bringing you the most delicious and BEST air fryer chicken wings you’ll ever try. They are cooked to perfection, seasoned simply, and are a crowd pleaser! On top of all that, these chicken wings are ridiculously easy to make- they are sure to be a hit at your next game day party!

Ingredients Needed

You are going to love the list of ingredients for this recipe, because there are only 3! BIG taste and delicious flavor does not always require lots of fancy ingredients. Here’s what you will need to cook up some air fryer fried chicken wings:

  • Chicken Wings
  • Salt
  • Sauce of choice
a bowl full of Air Fryer Chicken Wings with sauce

How to make Air Fryer Chicken Wings

Prepare

Turn on the air fryer and let it preheat. Using a clean paper towel, press out the excess moisture from the chicken wings and season them generously with salt.

Cook

Place the chicken wings in your air fryer, spaced out evenly so that the wings are not touching each other. Cook until they are golden brown and the skin is crispy, flipping once during the cook time. Increase the temperature a bit and cook a few additional minutes so that they crisp up even more.

DEVOUR

Toss in your sauce of choice and serve. Enjoy!

How to know when Air Fryer Chicken Wings are done

These chicken wings will be done and ready to enjoy when they are golden and crispy and the inside reaches a temperature of 165 degrees Fahrenheit. This will take approximately 24 minutes, flipping once halfway!

Serving Suggestions

Now that you have a plate of hot air fryer whole chicken wings ready to go, it’s time to work on the rest of your game day spread! Consider serving your wings with hot sauce, sweet chili sauce, bbq sauce, and whatever other sauces you LOVE on your chicken wings! Kick things up a notch by also serving some broccoli bites, vegan spinach dip and chips, as well as my fav homemade mozzarella sticks recipe!

Chicken Wings FAQ

Can you put raw chicken in the air fryer?

Absolutely! The air fryer is capable of cooking chicken right from raw!

Should I thaw food before cooking it in the air fryer?

While it is recommended to thaw meat and vegetables before air frying them, it’s not totally necessary. See next question for details!

Can you air fry frozen chicken wings?

Absolutely! Although I do suggest that you use fresh chicken wings, it is completely possible to tweak the recipe a bit and cook them from frozen. All you will need to do is add about 5 minutes to the cook time!
