YOU CAME BACK!
I knew yesterday’s mint chocolate green smoothie recipe with a teaser about a drink that includes molasses would get you here. There’s a method to my madness.
Well, sometimes. Sometimes it’s just straight up insanity for no reason.
But, that is neither here nor there.
Are you getting tired of things with the flavor of a ginger snap recipe? Please say no, because there is ONE MORE recipe coming up.
Don’t worry, I’ll give you some time off though.
However, in that time off I have a suggestion. And “suggestion” is code for “order.”
That you cozy up with this INSANELY EASY, Ginger Snap Cookie Steamer.
I promise you, it’ll only take you about a minute. Do you understand the EPIC that is that sentence?
One Minute. 1. O-N-E. UNO.
And then you’re going to get all those warm (literally) fuzzy feelings that you get when you crunch on a sweet healthy ginger snap.
Except, there’s NO butter and it’s totally gluten/grain/dairy free AND paleo and vegan friendly. ANDDDDD, you’re drinking it instead of chewing.
It’s like cookies AND (dairy free!) milk…all in one. <– Ya, that just happened. You just be getting VRY VRY excited right about now.
What is a steamer drink?
Maybe you’ve had a vanilla steamer at Starbucks before, so you’re already “in the know” about steamers. But, if not, a steamer is a warm, milk-based beverage! It’s basically just milk that has been steamed and you typically add sweetener and flavorings to it. <– Basically, just a cozy, warm cup of goodness for those moments when you’re just not feeling coffee or some vegan hot chocolate.
Even if those moments are VRY rare in your life, you’re gonna be INTO this ginger snap cookie steamer drink, promise.
Side note: if you wanna get your coffee on, something tells me that a little coffee liqueur would NOT be a disappointing thing to add.
How to make a milk steamer
- Heat your milk and coconut sugar on medium/low until nice and steamy! If you have a frothing wand, you can use that too!
I use mine EVERY SINGLE day for steamers, or to make the FROTHIEST matcha, so HIGHLY recommend one!
- Add the molasses and spices into a large glass and pour the steamed milk over. Stir it up good!
- Top with coconut whipped cream and DRINK!
Pro tip: if you have a high-powered blender with a “soup” function, you can also just throw EVERYTHING (except the whipped cream!) in it and use that function until it’s hot and FROTHY!
See? SO easy to make at home and you don’t even have to put on real pants OR spend your first-born child’s college fund just to get your cozy on. <– You know that is not an exaggeration. Fancy drinks are EXPENSIVE.
I KNOW that you guys, like me, are all about getting your taste sensations on…in the comfort of your Pjs which means this spicy-sweet and TOTALLY festive little bevvie is totally FOR YOU.
P.S. I know the whipped cream says “optional”
But, let’s be honest here.
It’s not.
P-L-U-S, if you spread it all over you chin, you’ll look like Santa
FUN.
