Whole30 friends! I got you and your Paleo Burrito Bowl loving hearts!

And, by that, I mean I made you a seasoning that you could slather all over your chicken and make burrito bowls at home so you don’t have to miss out these next 30 days.

I mean…how tired are you of eating air fryer hard boiled eggs?

(Note: I’ve personally never done a whole30, but I’ve heard that eggs get old quick. So now you have have TACOS…or burrito bowls….or fajita bowls if you use my Homemade Fajita Seasoning)

But…I digress.

Why you’ll LOVE this Taco Seasoning

You know those spice blends at the grocery store that are super easy to throw on anything and everything for a little extra flavor? They are great to add into recipes, but there are sometimes funny additives and words you can’t pronounce on the ingredients lists of store bought spice blends. That’s why I decided to make my own healthy taco seasoning and a BONUS is that it’s whole30 compatible! The flavor in this seasoning packs a punch, it has no strange ingredients, and it’s SO versatile. It’s also really easy to make, store and use, so you really can’t go wrong with it!

Why make your own spice mix!

Spice mixes are so handy to have in the pantry, and making your own will save you a trip to the store as well as money! Buying and mixing your own spices to create the perfect blend is also a good idea because you can tweak the ingredients to your liking! Add a dash extra of this, leave out that, it’s all up to you. You are going to love mixing up a jar of this spice blend, it’s going to be your go-to whole30 seasonings!

Ingredients needed to make Easy Whole30 Taco Seasoning

To create this spice blend, I used a handful of spices from my pantry and NO other additives. Here’s what you’ll need to make it:

  • Chili Powder
  • Garlic Powder
  • Cumin
  • Oregano Flakes
  • Paprika
  • Onion Powder
  • Salt

How to use Taco Seasoning Whole30

This is one of those seasonings that is SO versatile and will add flavor and Mexican flair to so many dishes, whole30 or not! A great way to make eggs more interesting on whole30 is to season them with this taco seasoning! Here are a few other recipe recommendations that I think this seasoning would be fantastic on:

  • Mexican Grilled Corn Salad with jalapeno and avocado
  • Keto Shrimp Zucchini Boats on the grill
  • Mexican Shakshuka recipe

How to store Homemade Seasoning

Once you’ve mixed all your spices up in a bowl and your seasoning is ready to store, it’s time to pour it into an airtight container. I recommend storing it in a small mason jar or something similar, so that you can see what’s inside! It will last up to 6 months at room temperature in your pantry this way.
