These Greek Turkey Meatballs are mixed with feta cheese and lots of fresh herbs and spices for an easy, healthy, gluten free and low carb dinner!

PIN Greek Turkey Meatballs

Honestly you guys? This healthy turkey meatball recipe is just going to put a big smile on your face.

Just like in the Greek healthy turkey quinoa stuffed bell peppers, when your mouth munches through the FRESHNESS of the mint and parsley and then gets a 1-2 punch of TONS of other herbs and spices with melty, salty feta cheese? MAN OH MAN, it is GOOD.

I like making a HUGE batch to have on hand for busy weeknights when I’m hungry but have negative amounts of time to look.

Plus there’s the whole “Greek flavors are good all the time, so may as well have them always on hand” saying. I actually just made that up but whether it’s these balls or a Greek chicken roasted cauliflower meal prep bowl, my taste buds are ALWAYS here for Greek flavors.

Are Turkey Meatballs healthier than Beef?

Who doesn’t like meatballs? I dare you to name ANYONE you can think of! I mean, there’s Gluten Free Vegan Chickpea Meatballs and Asian Turkey Meatballs, and SO many more meatballs on the blog, so I think at this point it’s crystal clear that I’m a big fan. Add some greek flavor and BAM- you get these Greek Turkey Meatballs with Feta.
BUT are turkey meatballs actually healthier than beef ones? The quick answer is that they’re just different! Turkey and ground beef both are high in protein, potassium and iron, and both meats are high in fat. However, turkey is leaner and lower in saturated fat than beef is, which makes it a great choice!

Greek Turkey Meatball Ingredients

As you know, I’m a HUGE fan of anything greek-the flavors are so fun and unique and I literally never get bored of them! Here’s what you will need to grab from the store to make this recipe:

  • Lean Ground Turkey
  • Full Fat Feta Cheese

  • Fresh Parsley
  • Coconut Flour
  • Fresh Mint

  • Ground Basil
  • Ground Oregano
  • Cumin

How to Make Greek Turkey Meatballs?

Now that you’re feeling hungry after hearing ALL about this Greek food deliciousness, let’s get started!
Prepare
Set your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit and allow it to preheat fully. Line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
Mix
Add all of the ingredients to a large bowl and mix until everything is well combined. Feel free to use your hands. Using a cookie scoop, scoop out meatballs in heaping tablespoons and place on the prepared baking sheet. You should end up with approximately 20 meatballs.
Bake
Place the pan in the oven and allow the meatballs to bake for about 10-13 minutes, or until they reach an internal temperature of 165 degrees Fahrenheit.
Enjoy
Dip in whatever you desire and DEVOUR!

What pairs well with Greek Turkey Meatballs?

Don’t you love a recipe that’s good all on its own? This recipe definitely shines all by itself with those fabulous greek flavors, however here are a few options if you’re wanting to serve something alongside these baked greek turkey meatballs:

  • Oven Roasted Greek Lemon Potatoes would be a great side dish, along with some tzatziki dip!
  • Greek Potato Bites with Hummus are another appetizer that would taste delicious alongside these meatballs!

How do you store the meatballs for later?

When I cook meatballs, I often cook a double batch because they freeze really well and are so easy to thaw and bake another time! To freeze them, store them in a single layer in a freezer bag and let thaw in the fridge a day before you want to bake them! If you’ve cooked a bunch and want to enjoy them throughout the week, that’s another great option! Simply cook the meatballs and then store them in an airtight container in the fridge for 3-4 days!
