Who doesn’t love the taste of a Frosty from Wendy’s every now and then? They are simply irresistible. Wendy’s famous Frosty has been on the menu since the chain first opened in 1969. It might even be the only thing that’s remained on the menu this whole time. I know I’ve enjoyed a Frosty during many trips to Wendy’s over the years. But I never thought I’d be able to make my own Frosty – that is, until now.
I know that you can’t just buy one of those machines that dispenses a genuine Frosty the way they have in the restaurant. But if you think about it, a Frosty is just a special type of milkshake that almost has the consistency of ice cream. With a few simple ingredients and a little bit of time, you can replicate the taste and texture of a Frosty on your own. It’s surprisingly simple to imitate. In fact, if you give it a try, I think you’ll find that it tastes just like the real thing.
Is Wendy’s Frosty Copycat Healthy?
With 237 calories and just 6 grams of fat, you might be surprised to find out that this copycat homemade Frosty is a little healthier than an actual Wendy’s Frosty. That’s not to say that there is a ton of nutritional value in it. However, there is a decent amount of vitamin A, potassium, and calcium in a homemade Frosty because of all the milk.
Plan Ahead…
The best thing you can do when making a homemade Frosty is to plan ahead. Keep in mind that the concoction will need at least a couple of hours in the freezer with occasional stirring. Therefore, you need to start making this at least two hours before you plan to eat it. The good news is that it’s easy to double the recipe – assuming your blender has enough room – ideal if more people want to join you.

FAQs & Tips
Ideally, your homemade Frosty will be consumed as soon as it’s ready. However, the mixture can be stored in an airtight container for up to 5 days. You can also leave it in the freezer in several small containers for up to 3 weeks.
It can be either one. It definitely has the feel of a dessert. But since its consistency isn’t quite ice cream and isn’t quite a milkshake, you can also consider it a drink.
Serving Suggestions
If you’re going to imitate a Wendy’s Frosty at home, you might as well put together a meal of other items you’d find at Wendy’s. For instance, it’s easy enough to make Homemade Fries or learn how to make a Baked Potato in the oven. Those are both items you’d find at Wendy’s. In lieu of one of Wendy’s famous square burgers, you could instead cook a Healthy Burger in a Bowl. Personally, I’ve always loved the junior bacon cheeseburger at Wendy’s. For a different take on that, try a Bacon Wrapped Hot Dog.
Of course, I can also recommend plenty of other cold treats for you to whip up for dessert. This can be something as simple as Frozen Yogurt or perhaps Vegan Banana Ice Cream Bars. You might also enjoy a Frosted Raspberry Lemonade with Peaches and there’s nothing wrong with a smoothie, including this Peanut Butter Keto Low Carb Smoothie.
