Question for you. Do you ever find yourself staring in the refrigerator, peeping a whole bunch of random ingredients and wondering what in the heck you will do with them before they wither up and die the horrible went-to-the-store-before-I-actually-looked-to-see-what-I-needed-and-bought-everything-I-already-had DEATH.
Don’t even bat your eyes at me. I know you are prone to this very real-life situation.
This smoothie is a pretty much that.
I had some extra mangoes from mango chicken with coconut cauliflower rice, some watermelon from watermelon curry (RECIPE COMING SOON. Don’t judge it already.) bananas because cookie dough banana ice cream is my Summer jam, and avocados because, well…
Avocados.
You get it.
If you’re one of “those people” who have NOT tried the mint chocolate green smoothie recipe or avocado smoothie bowl with cashew cream, and have yet to jump on the avocados-in-smoothies trendy train, and are kinda like UM WHAT about the current situation that you are reading about, lemme just rest your brain for a second.
SO GOOD and CREAMY and DREAMY and BASICALLY life CHANGING. Like it makes the peanut butter keto low carb smoothie taste like a freaking MILKSHAKE.
They also add some UMPH to the blendy-smoothie-action to give it BODY that FILLS you up until whenever your next meal is.
Which, considering you’re like me, is probably about 30 minutes after you do the smoothie slurp, A-N-D you’re probably planning what it will be AS YOU SLURP.
Always hungry. Always thinking about food. THIS IS US.
Anyway. Enough about avocados. (Really, is it EVER enough about avocados though?)
Can I be real with you for a sec: I don’t USUALLY like “real mangos” unless they are with chicken. Why? Zero clues. I do ❤ ❤ ❤ dried mango. Buuuut, we all know that is pretty much just fruit candy.
Which is why it’s YUMMAY.
However, when the tropical, fruity-ness is combined with velvety avocado, bright pops of summer-perfect, juicy watermelon and undertones of smooth ‘n sweet banana?
SMOOTHIE B-L-I-S-S.
Can I be real with you, the sequel: I am not USUALLY a “smoothie person” either (unless it’s a protein smoothie with chocolate and peanut butter, because CHOCOLATE AND PEANUT BUTTER YO’) because I have this thing about “chewing my food.”
I like it. It makes me happy.
Maybe you understand? Help.
However, Mr. FFF? Smoothie JUNKIE.
The original plan was to donate this whole frosty-blendy treat to the “Hub-o-rama is hungry fund” (ie: give it all to him.) Uhhh…UNTIL I TRIED IT and I had the same reaction as the last healthy strawberry watermelon smoothie.
Internet friends. The smoothie heavens have come down and a new, totally slurp-able, TOTALLY simple (hi 4 ingredients!) addiction is most DEFINITELY on the breakfast horizon.
For all my nutritiously-delicious food loving friends – yes, even you “chewers” – this creamy-dreamy blend of tropical-heart-healthy-real-food is going to make your belly RLY RLY happy.
I know you’re still thinking about the upcoming watermelon curry.
Pinky promise, it’s good.
Until then, go forth and SMOOTHIE.
