Why You’ll Love Juicy Grilled Chicken Breast

  • The hardest part about making this dish will be letting your chicken marinate long enough. Coincidentally, it’s also the longest part of cooking grilled chicken breasts.
  • Once the marinating is done, you’ll have tasty and juicy grilled chicken breast on your table in 30 minutes or less.
  • Chicken breasts are high in protein, low in carbs, and grain-free, making them the perfect protein source for anyone following a keto, paleo, or Whole30 diet.
  • Juicy Grilled Chicken Breast is a great recipe you can get prepped before leaving for work in the morning, so it’s in your refrigerator ready to go when you want dinner.

What Sides should I serve with grilled chicken?

One of the other great things about grilled chicken is how many different foods it pairs well with. But on nights when deciding what else to cook is too hard, a simple salad (like this Low Carb Keto Cucumber Salad) or grilled vegetables are always crowd-pleasers.

But if you’re looking for the best of both worlds and want to get a little fancy, add grilled chicken to this Balsamic Grilled Vegetable Salad recipe.

Ingredients

In order to grill the perfect juicy chicken breasts, you’re going to need a few things besides chicken to get the job done.

  • Raw grilled chicken breast
  • Marinade (cook’s choice)

You will also need:

  • A meat mallet or rolling pin
  • Parchment paper
  • A gas grill
  • Digital instant-read meat thermometer

How to Grill Boneless Chicken Breast

Tenderize

To keep the chicken nice, juicy, and evenly cooked, we pressed the chicken to an even thickness all around. Place the chicken breast between 2 layers of parchment paper, use a meat mallet or rolling pin, and whack the thickest parts of the breast so that they are all an even thickness.

Marinate

Marinating using something like this keto chicken marinade is KEY to keeping the chicken flavorful and really locking in the juices, so don’t skip this step! Place chicken and marinate in an airtight container in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.

Grill

Heat clean grill to medium heat, and use tongs to place your chicken breast on indirect heat. Cook the chicken for 5-7 minutes and flip with the tongs. Cook another 5-7 minutes and repeat until your thermometer reads 165°.

Rest

Remove the chicken from the grill to a plate, cover, and let rest for 5 minutes. THIS IS KEY TO MAKING THE CHICKEN JUICY AND MOIST. Do NOT skip this step!

Serve

Serve over salad or with other tasty side dishes.
