How to cook Air Fryer Broccoli
If you think that making delicious, nutritious and flavorful food has to be super difficult, this recipe will prove you wrong! You can whip it up in a pinch with the help of a trusty air fryer, and the whole family is going to go crazy over it! Here’s how:
Toss
Add the broccoli, peanut oil, garlic, and a bit of sea salt to a large bowl. Toss to combine.
Cook
Spread the broccoli in a single layer, if possible, in the mesh basket of your air fryer. Cook at 400 degrees Fahrenheit until the broccoli is done.
Prepare the Sauce
While the broccoli is roasting in the air fryer, combined the soy sauce, honey, sriracha and rice vinegar in a small, microwave safe bowl. Pop it in the microwave for a bit to melt the honey, then remove and whisk until smooth.
Toss
Once the broccoli is cooked, transfer it back to a large bowl and add the soy sauce mixture. Toss to evenly coat it.
Enjoy
Add the chopped peanuts and squeeze some lime juice over top, then serve and DEVOUR!
Serving Suggestions
While this air fryer broccoli is a tasty snack or appetizer all on its own, I usually recommend serving it as a side! I love enjoying it alongside asian turkey meatballs or asian instant pot pork tenderloin and a heaping pile of paleo cauliflower fried rice to finish off the plate.
Broccoli Air Fryer Recipe FAQ
YES! Broccoli contains vitamins A, C, K and a variety of B vitamins as well. It’s FULL of nutrients to keep you healthy, protein to keep you full, and fiber to keep your digestive system functioning well. Incorporating broccoli into your diet is a good idea!
While I do recommend using fresh broccoli, it is possible to use frozen broccoli for this recipe. Make sure you thaw it and squeeze out some of the moisture before cooking, as frozen broccoli won’t get as crispy.
This will keep well as a meal prep side dish if you make it ahead of time, although it will not stay crispy!
